LABORATORY PROCEDURES FOR ANIMAL & HUMAN CELL LINES Appendix REFERENCE NO: AHC/1998/2/3 Appendix 1 TITLE: STANDARD LETTER FOR ENTRY INTO THE COLLECTION Example
<Resource Centre> <Location> <Date>
Dear <…> The cell line <…> (accession number <…>) that you deposited here at the Resource Centre has now been successfully banked and completed our Quality Control tests. Enclosed is the proposed data entry for the catalogue. Please would you check it and make any alterations or corrections that you feel appropriate and return it to me as soon as possible as we are constantly updating our data entries for the catalogue. If we have not received a reply within the next 4 weeks we assume that you agree with our suggestions and will include the cell line in our collection. If you wish we can return a growing culture of the cells for you to check, or alternatively we can send you a copy of a photograph taken during the Master Cell Banking process. (If hybridoma or suspension don’t offer photo, if attached (trypsin used) offer photo). Thank you for depositing at the Resource Centre. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely
